What this means for you

Nothing changes about the price you pay. An affiliate link costs you nothing extra, and it does not affect the retailer’s return policy, your consumer rights, or the warranty on what you buy. If you would rather not use one, searching for the product directly works just as well and the article is just as useful.

Which links are affiliate links

Affiliate links on this site may point to Amazon and to other retailers and affiliate programs. Articles that contain affiliate links carry a disclosure near the top, above the first such link, so you know before you click rather than afterwards. The links themselves are tagged so that search engines can identify them as sponsored.

Not every outbound link is an affiliate link. Links to manufacturer documentation, horticultural sources, and reference material earn nothing.

How this affects what gets recommended

It does not. Products are chosen on whether they suit the use described in the article. Commission rates play no part in what is included, how it is ranked, or what is said about it. A product that is not worth buying does not get recommended because it pays well, and a product with no affiliate program at all can still be the first recommendation on the page.
