Editorial Policy
Lendot Living publishes practical guidance about plants, home, cleaning, and everyday living. This page sets out the standards articles are held to, and how editorial decisions are kept separate from commercial ones.
What an article is for
Every article exists to answer a specific question completely enough to act on. Length follows the question rather than a target. A problem that can be solved properly in seven hundred words is not padded to two thousand to look more thorough.
Accuracy
Articles are written to be accurate at the time of publication, and corrected when something turns out to be wrong. Where guidance depends on conditions that vary between homes, such as light, climate, water, or the age of a building, the article says so rather than presenting one answer as universal.
Plant care, cleaning, and home maintenance content on this site is general information, not professional consultation. For structural, electrical, plumbing, or health-related decisions, consult a qualified professional.
Keeping articles current
Articles are reviewed and updated when the information changes, when a recommended product is discontinued or altered, or when a reader points out something that needs fixing. Published and updated dates appear on every article so you can judge how current it is.
Clarity
Articles lead with the answer. Background comes afterwards, for readers who want it. Terms that need explaining are explained, and terms that can be avoided are avoided.
Editorial independence
Lendot Living may earn commission through affiliate links, and may carry display advertising in future. Neither affects which products are recommended, the order they appear in, or what is said about them.
- No payment is accepted in exchange for a recommendation, a ranking position, or a favorable description.
- Affiliate partners and advertisers have no input into editorial content and do not see articles before publication.
- A product is included because it suits the use described, and left out when it does not, regardless of what it pays.
- Any content produced in partnership with a brand is labeled clearly as such.
Corrections
If something on this site is wrong, it gets fixed. Substantive corrections are noted on the article itself rather than made silently. Errors can be reported through the contact page, and it helps to include the article title and a source.
